PROPOSALS

The City of Clinton, Tennessee is seeking Requests for Proposals from qualified contractors for the repair and resurfacing of certain portions of Fox Family Lane, located off North Charles G. Seivers Blvd. near Interstate75 in east Clinton.
In general, the project will consist of the excavation and removal of damaged / spoil roadway surface and base materials, to be replaced with new base stone and asphalt, in accordance with current TDOT Construction Standards and Specifications.
Specifically, the work will include the following:
1. Full-Depth Repair Section
-  Removal of approximately 9,760 square feet of materials at 10” depth (2,133 c.f. +/-)
-  Installation of 6” compacted depth base stone
-  Installation of 2 ½” Grade BM asphalt mix
-  Installation of Tack Coat
-  Installation of 1 ½” Grade E asphalt mix
-  Installation of Double Yellow Centerline
2. Partial Depth Repair Section
-  Removal of approximately 4,471 square feet of materials at 4” depth (1,490 c.f. +/-)
-  Installation of 2 ½” Grade BM asphalt mix
-  Installation of Tack Coat
-  Installation of 1 ½” Grade E asphalt mix
-  Installation of Double Yellow Centerline
All waste / spoil materials shall be hauled off site. Project shall be a lump sum price, based on estimated quantities as described. Material over-run costs should be included as a unit basis. Any over-runs and additional cost shall be agreed upon prior to incurrence of same. Because this work is considered an emergency repair, an expedited work schedule will be considered in addition to cost if warranted. Please include a work schedule in the Proposal.
Sealed RFP’s should be submitted to the attention of Public Works Director Dwayne Wilkerson, 100 North Bowling Street, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. RFP’s will be accepted until 10:00am on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
