08/04/2014 RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW FIRE HEADQUARTERS The City of Clinton unveiled new facilities at Clinton Fire Headquarters during a special open house and ribbon cutting ceremony today. Several hundred people turned out to tour the new fire hall and take part in the event.
After several months of new construction and renovation.. once again, fire fighters will respond from Hicks St. behind city hall. The Chief's office and administration operations have always been in the downtown location.. but Fire Chief Brummitt says: "Fire trucks, rescue units and manpower have not responded from headquarters since 1995." The city has primarily been served by Fire Station 1 on Longmire Rd and Station 2 on Highway Dr in South Clinton. Brummitt adds: "The new addition provides our department the opportunity to better serve the citizens of Clinton."
