CFD FIREMEN AWARDED STORK PIN
Nathan Sweet, Director of Emergency Services for Anderson County, made a special presentation to two Clinton City firemen. James Blakeney and Josh Queener received "Stork Pins" for their part in delivering a baby earlier this year. The pinning ceremony took place during a recent city council meeting.

Following the presentation,.. Fire Chief Archie Brummitt and Asst. Chief Jeff Little helped with pinning the awards on each recipient.

Blakeney and Queener were on duty when the call came out that a passenger in a vehicle was about to give birth. It seems that the mother was on the way to the hospital when she "ran out of time."  Her driver stopped the car on South Seivers Blvd where police called for assistance. The two firemen, first on scene with any medical training, were able to help the expectant mother complete a successful delivery.
