CFD MODIFIES RESPONSE PLAN
In response to the recent issues surrounding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, and based on recommended guidance from various local, state, and federal authorities, the Clinton Fire Department will be modifying our response plan to various call types as follows:
The Department will no longer respond to non-life threating call such as:
Lift Assists that do not involved an injury unless the victim has no other means for help and has fallen,
Smoke Detector Maintenance,
Residential and Commercial Inspections, etc.
Our E-911 Dispatchers have been trained in obtaining additional information from callers requesting Emergency Medical type response from the Clinton Fire Department. Based on proper evaluation of each call, the response will be handled as indicated.
We realize that the change in our response plan may place a hardship on some individuals; however, the safety of all our citizens and First Responders is our immediate priority. Our response plan will be reviewed and revised as warranted by additional recommendations and guidance from the various authorities.
