HONORING ONE OF OUR OWN
The Clinton Police Dept is remembering K9 "Rush" this week.
Rush not only served the citizens of Clinton.. but he and Detective Sgt Robert Suarez were assigned to a federal task force, in East Tennessee. Suarez and Rush assisted and worked with Federal S.W.A.T. and Knox county TNT operators in high risk, crime scene entry situations.

Both also represented Tennessee and the United States in the 2011 World Police and Fire Games in New York City. Sgt Suarez says: "Rush competed against the world's best K9 teams and took a gold and silver medal."

Due to a terminal illness.. CPD's dedicated K9 unit and Sgt Suarez's loyal partner was put to rest earlier this year. K9 rush will be greatly missed by the City of Clinton and East Tennessee.
