FAIR HOUSING ACT
Under the Fair Housing Act, it is against the law to discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin related to housing activities. These activities include:
The sale or rental of housing or residential lots
Advertising the sale or rental of housing
Financing of housing
The provision of real estate brokerage services, and
The appraisal of housing.
