Clinton City Council passed the following ordinances: Ordinance No. 681 – an ordinance to amend Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget; Ordinance No. 682 – an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 680, zoning code of the City of Clinton by modifying the following five zoning ordinances, (1) Chapt. 2, Section 2.10.9 expiration of approved site plans from 10 days to 30 calendar days to make the required corrections and submit revised site plan, (2) by deleting recreational parks and campgrounds as a permitted use in Chapt. 5, Section 5.5.11 and adding recreational parks and campgrounds as a permitted use in Chapt. 5, Section 5.7.12; (3) Chapt. 2, Section 2.18.2, development standards for telecommunications towers, application process submission deadline from 14 days to 21 calendar days; (4) Chapt. 6, Section 6.2, permitted use schedule business and private services to permit recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds in the B-4, interstate business district only; (5) Chapt. 6, Section 6.3, site plan checklist submission deadline from 14 days to 21 calendar days. Ordinance No. 683 – ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 680 zoning code of the City of Clinton by modifying the following five zoning ordinance sections: (1) Chapt. 6, Section 6.1, area, yard and height table, amend R-2 front setback from “30” to “20” and rear setback from “25” to “15”; (2) Chapt. 2 add new section “2.19” customary general farming and agricultural land use to allow chickens in R-1 low density residential district and R-2 medium density residential district; (3) by deleting Chapt. 5 Section 5.1.B.1 in its entirety and replacing with 5.1B.1 customary general farming and agricultural land use – see Section 2.19 of this ordinance; (4) Chapt. 6 Section 6.2, permitted use schedule – agricultural uses, add “urban chickens” below :general farming” as permitted in R-1 low density residential district and R-2 medium density residential district only; (5) Chapt. 2 add new section 2.20 temporary use permits to allow operation of certain necessary or seasonal uses which are non-permanent in nature. Ordinance No. 684 an ordinance amending the Municipal Code of Clinton, Title 10, animal control, by deleting Chapt. 1 and Chapt. 2 in its entirety and replacing with a new Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. Ordinance No. 685 an ordinance amending the Municipal Code of Clinton, Title 13, property maintenance regulations by deleting Chapt. 2 in its entirety and replacing with a new Chapter 2. Ordinance No. 686 an ordinance amending the Municipal Code of the City of Clinton, Title 7 Chapt. 2 and Title 12, Chapters 1 thru 9, by incorporating by reference the provisions of the 2021 edition of the Comprehensive International Building and Fire Codes and the 2017 National Electric Code for the incorporated area of the Clinton, TN regulating building safety and construction.
