City of Clinton -

Congratulations Sgt. Christian Baileyon winning the City of Clinton’s Employee of the Quarter. His actions were above and beyond. The anonymous submission that won him the award it below:

"On April 15 a family was returning home from Knoxville traveling to Lafollette, while on the interstate the daughter that was driving noticed her mother unresponsive. She exited at the 122 and pulled into the Rocky top parking lot. Police, Fire and EMS was dispatched. Sgt Bailey arrived on scene. The mother was dead at the scene. The husband and daughter were very emotional and Sgt Bailey was able to talk with them and calm them by giving information as to what was happening and information as to what they needed to do next. The husband spoke to Sgt Bailey and was telling him about his wife and their travels together. Sgt Bailey asked if she ever beat him to anywhere or at anything. The husband replied no she had not. Sgt. Bailey told him she had this time she beat him home,meaning heaven. The husband smiled and told him your very right son thank you so much for that i needed it. The next day Sgt Bailey was called to the station for he had a visitor. He came in and it was the husband. The husband asked if anyway possible could Sgt Bailey attend the visitation service in Lafollette. Sgt Bailey answered yes he would. Sgt Bailey made arrangements with another Sgt to relieve him early on the evening of the visitation he could attend. When he arrived he met with the son and the son stated you must be the Sarge, he stated his father had told him all about him. He then told him to come on he would take to his dad he was expecting him. Sgt Bailey and the husband talked and the husband asked if he might come and see Sgt. Bailey for coffee or lunch sometime, Bailey told him come anytime he was more than welcome."
