Clinton P.D. Drug Bust

On 01/11/2024, while investigating an intoxicated driver at 2409 N. Charles Seivers Blvd., Clinton Police Officer Wyatt Terry noticed a firearm in the suspects lap (Marty Cook).  Upon further investigation Cook was found to have a cancelled TN license for DUI by drugs out of GA. Patrol Supervisor Sergeant Matthew Howell and his K9 partner Tonto arrived on scene. K9 Tonto was deployed and alerted to the vehicle for the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted and 15 grams of heroin along with several items of drug paraphernalia was found. Officer's also located 1.69 grams of cocaine on Cook's person. Cook was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Manufacture, Sale, and delivery, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While License was Cancelled.
