The City of Clinton will hold a Public Hearing on April 27, 2026 at 5:30pm at Clinton City Hall for Ordinance No. 704 – an ordinance amending Title 9 of the Clinton Municipal Code – by adding Chapter 6 - specialty shops. The public is invited to attend and will be heard.

Clinton Tree Advisory Board will meet on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 6:30 pm at Clinton City Hall. The University of TN - Chattanooga will present the results of its recent tree canopy assessment for the City of Clinton. The presentation is open to the public.

2026 SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY
MONDAY APRIL 6th
The City of Clinton Public Works Department has announced that Spring Clean-Up Day will be held this year on Monday April 6th (an annual event on the first Monday in April). Public Works crews will be collecting items that normally are not collected during household garbage pick-up and taking them to the Chestnut Ridge Landfill (residential only, no commercial items collected). Residents should place refuse and rubbish items beside the street, ensuring that nothing protrudes into the street or obstructs sidewalks, utility poles, water meters, fire hydrants, or mailboxes. Items for collection MUST be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Monday April 6th, 2026.

The proposed amendments establish clear standards governing the limited use of Private Streets and Joint Permanent Easements, including applicability, design and construction requirements, maintenance responsibilities, utility access, emergency access, and lot size compliance, to ensure orderly development while preventing circumvention of subdivision regulations.
